Starting in the industry at age 15, I never considered any career path other than hairdressing. Gaining my City & Guilds of London Institute Certificate, I was picked up by The Andre Bernard group and worked in several of their UK salons, including Winchester and Edinburgh. Competition work throughout the UK played a large part in fine-tuning my hairstyling skills, and allowed me to concentrate on my passion for precision cutting - the basis of every great hairstyle.
By my early 20's I had opened two successful salons in the south of England which I operated for several years before migrating to Australia with my husband and two young daughters. Taking time out from hairdressing to raise my family which had grown to five - three daughters and two sons gave me the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate living in this beautiful country. I am as passionate as ever about my craft, and consider myself privileged to have spent over four decades in the industry making women look and feel fabulous.
